Instead of simply growing your body endlessly until an inevitable crash, your objective hinges on a strict two-phase completion loop. First, you must consume every single fruit scattered across the static grid, carefully plotting your growth curve to avoid boxing yourself into a corner. Once the board is completely stripped of sustenance, a hidden exit hatch slides open against the perimeter wall. You then have to snake your entire, elongated body out through that exact threshold without colliding with your own segments. Across twenty-four increasingly brutal stages—ranging from open arenas to claustrophobic corridors, teleportation pits, and evasive wildlife—success demands precise spatial awareness and deliberate foresight.

Operating on a rigid grid-locked tick rate, Serpento eliminates analog drift in favor of pure, uncompromising directional input. As your reptile lengthens with every ingested apple, your turning radius shrinks, forcing you to constantly recalculate safe corridors. Environmental hazards like spatial portal pits instantly warp your head across the arena, while wandering frogs dynamically shift positions, altering your safe hunting routes mid-run. Scoring relies on clearing levels efficiently, balancing speed settings against the risk of premature self-collision.
